A lovely (long) weekend away to the Cotswolds with my girls and the dog.

We arrived Thursday evening at our stunning Airbnb after the painful drive around the Midlands motorways, getting comfortable with a few drinks and pizza delivery from Fat Toni’s in Stroud. Little did we realise how big the extra large pizza would come at 20″ diameter.

Friday morning, we all had work to do as I was presenting on the monthly showcase with one of our teams. Then we walked around the village and found some lunch at a nearby cafe before heading out to Stroud for a potter around the town centre including a cheeky craft beer called Bloody Nora at Town Owl Taphouse.

Saturday, we headed over to the Painwick Rococo Gardens for a lovely walk and impressive view of the local area then drove over to Cirencester for some tasty lunch at Igloo and walk around the town centre, followed by another beer back at The Falcon in Painswick.

Sunday, we popped to the local cafe for a coffee before heading home across the Gloucestershire country roads (avoiding the dreaded and boring motorways).
