This was my third version presenting PETALS to a community and actually on my “home turf” at Rightmove’s London offices in our event space.
We partnered up with recruitment agency Amicus to host their Engineering Leadership Meetup for local (and further afield) tech leaders to share thoughts and topics that might be of interest. I volunteered to talk about PETALS as part of my knowledge sharing goal this year.
Conversations went really well after the initial 25 minute story explaining the journey it’s been on – ironic really as the framework is generally promoted as a conversation starter for teams.
I really enjoyed Nik Walker’s talk about neurodiversity in the workplace too, a thought provoking and passionate take on how well (or not) leaders can support their teams with neurodiverse needs.
