This evening, I was talking to my daughter about all the online products her school uses for different purposes and classes.
We totalled up 8 in the end which got me thinking – how much do schools spend on software? Considering the average secondary school in the UK accommodates 1,500 students + 100 staff members, this could become quite an expensive budget to support – not to even mention the strain on IT teams to technically support.
In a time when government funding is getting tighter and education is facing serious challenges, shouldn’t we be thinking about streamlining costs and consolidating tools?
